GENERAL DENTISTRY

Dentistry involves the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide variety of conditions, disorders, and diseases, affecting the teeth, gums, and maxillofacial (associated with the jaw and face) region of the body. We, at Glacier Dental, provide services related to the general maintenance of oral hygiene and tooth health. Ideally, the Indian Dental Association recommends that you visit your dentist regularly (at least once every six months) to ensure proper oral hygiene and functionality. Regular checkups and oral health maintenance prevent the development of serious dental problems.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Cosmetic dentistry is all about the beauty search, usually in the classical sense, not the literal sense. If you are not satisfied with your smile, modern cosmetic dentistry can help! Common cosmetic procedures include teeth whitening, veneers, etc. This method of professional oral care focuses on improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth, gums, and overall smile.

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

Root canal treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth. When you undergo a root canal treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, and then filled and sealed. Millions of teeth are treated and saved this way each year, relieving pain and making teeth healthy again.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

A dental implant is a titanium screw-like post, that replaces tooth roots in areas of missing teeth and finally delivering artificial teeth over the implant that looks and functions much like real teeth. Dental implant surgery can offer a welcome alternative to dentures or bridges.

BRACES

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the alignment of irregular or crooked teeth. We, at Glacier Dental, believe the best time for a child to be examined by a dentist is at five years to avoid major teeth and jaw-related corrective surgeries by early diagnosis and treatment.

TEETH WHITENING

Teeth whitening is a simple process. Whitening products contain one of two tooth bleaches (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). These bleaches break stains into smaller pieces, which makes the colour less concentrated and your teeth brighter.

LASER DENTISTRY

Laser dentistry is the use of LASER to treat several different dental conditions. It is used in treating tooth hypersensitivity, tooth decay, gum disease, whitening of teeth, minor surgical and crown lengthening procedures. Lasers make dental treatments more efficient, cost-effective, and comfortable for patients.

KIDS DENTISTRY

Our qualified team of specialists have the expertise to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. Children begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months of life. By age 6 or 7 years, they start to lose their first set of teeth, which eventually are replaced by secondary, permanent teeth. Without proper dental care, children may face possible oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications.

DENTAL CROWNS & BRIDGES

A crown or a cap is a dental restoration that covers the exposed surface of a tooth to strengthen it or improve its appearance. A bridge is a dental restoration to replace one or more missing teeth. It includes an artificial tooth or teeth which are fused to crowns on either side to provide support. Crowns and bridges are designed to match the natural shape and strength of the teeth and can be made up of different types of materials.

DENTURES

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health. When you lose all of your teeth, facial muscles can sag, making you look older. Dentures can help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that your appearance does not change much. Dentures may even improve the looks of your smile.

CLEAR ALIGNERS (INVISALIGN)

Invisalign SmileView

Take a smiling selfie and we’ll show you what Invisalign treatment can do for you.

Thanks to recent advances, there is no age limit to start clear aligner treatment. Clear Aligners are transparent trays made of special material which are used to straighten teeth just like braces. They use gentle and constant force to move the teeth in the required position without going through the hassles of metal wires and brackets. They are custom made for each patient through a digital scan. Orthodontics for adults is very popular worldwide, and the orthodontists at Glacier Dental will work to align your teeth beautifully to give you that smile that makes you look as young as you feel.

MINOR ORAL SURGERY

Minor oral surgery includes removal of retained or buried roots, broken teeth, wisdom teeth and cysts of the upper and lower jaw. It also includes apical surgery and removal of small soft tissue lesions like mucocele, ranula, high labial or lingual frenum, etc.

DENTAL SEDATION PROCEDURES

Sedation dentistry uses medications to help patients relax during dental procedures. It is sometimes referred to as “sleep dentistry,” although that’s not entirely accurate. Patients are usually awake unlike those who are under general anaesthesia. Conscious Sedation is for patients who are anxious about undergoing dental treatments and inability to cooperate during the procedures. Dental procedures which are commonly done under conscious sedation include minor oral surgeries, full mouth rehabilitation for kids, etc.

RESTORATIONS

Dental restorations are used to resolve esthetic problems, even when carious lesions are not present. Restorations help to replace or restore your missing teeth or missing parts of your tooth structure that needs to be removed to prevent progression of decay which may cause you pain in the future. Dental restorations help to restore the tooth form, function and smile.

WISDOM TOOTH SURGERY

Wisdom teeth removal surgery is a procedure to remove the third set of molars, which typically appear between ages 17 and 25. Most people have at least one impacted wisdom tooth, meaning it doesn’t have enough room to grow naturally. By getting your wisdom teeth removed, you can ensure they don’t damage the surrounding healthy teeth and bones.

FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION

Full mouth rehabilitation might sound like a complicated procedure, but it merely means combining restorative dental treatments to fix or rebuild your smile. Our goal is to not only help you enjoy smiling again but also to strengthen and fortify your healthy oral tissues and tooth structures, as well. The exact treatments that make up your full mouth reconstruction will depend on the specific issues that affect your smile. During your consultation, we will thoroughly discuss your dental issues, and what combination of treatments can rebuild your smile in a conservative, minimally-invasive way.

GUM PROCEDURES

To treat certain gum diseases and conditions, such as gingivitis or periodontitis, a type of surgery which is known as “gum surgery” is done. The procedure aims to treat these gum diseases by re-growing damaged bones and tissues. Also, Gum Contouring or Gum Reshaping is often the solution to solve ‘gummy smile’ by the use of the most advanced laser treatment to remove excess tissues. This is usually a quick and painless cosmetic treatment.

MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery deals with simple to complex surgeries relating to facial bones including jaws which comprise of Dento-alveolar Surgeries, Management of Jaw Cysts and Pathologies, Management of Maxillofacial Trauma, Orthognathic Surgeries (Jaw Corrective Surgeries), Oral Cancer Surgeries, Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgeries, Temporomandibular Joint Surgeries, Salivary Gland Surgeries, Hair Transplantation, Cosmetic Surgeries and Management of Cleft Patients.
